My FCC Story – Meet Cristal, a Patient Care Technician

We believe every voice is significant. Each student we help is seen. Each life that walks through our doors…we see you and your remarkableness.  Cristal, a Patient Care Technician Student at FCC, shares her story.

Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PROGRAM?

A: I choose this program because I enjoy helping others who need it most. It feels good to be able to be counted on. I also choose this program to further my career. As a child I watched my mother do this same program as a career and as much joy as it brought to her it brought to me. To see how appreciative the patients were and how dedicated she was to them brought me the same joy and made me want to follow in her footsteps. 

Q: WHAT ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM DO YOU LOVE?

A: What I love about this program is the one on one teachings and all the hands-on. I feel as if this program gives me real scenarios to help me learn how it would be out in the field. It also gives us plenty of time in class to practice and also be corrected and shown the right way or form. 

Q: IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OTHERS?

A: I’m grateful for this experience and look forward to being out in the field and becoming certified.
