Medical Front Office and Billing Training Program

FCC’s Medical Front Office and Billing  Training Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training to begin a new medical front office and billing career.

The front desk is often the first thing a patient sees when they enter a healthcare clinic or hospital. Typically, this is where patients check-in for their appointments, schedule future appointments, and pay for the services they will receive at a clinic. Medical front office specialists are often tasked with ensuring that front-office tasks are handled so that the office operates smoothly.

Additionally, front office specialists work with insurance companies, patients, and other payers to ensure the services they provide are paid for. These services are vital for the sustainability of all hospitals and healthcare clinics. Needless to say, Medical Office and Billing positions provide services that ensure the viability and success of a clinic, making sure they continue to provide top-of-the-line healthcare services for patients.

FCC’s Medical Front Office and Billing program will prepare you for medical front office and billing roles in hospitals, health clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The program can be completed, and you can earn your diploma in as few as 10 months, which means you can be on track toward a new and rewarding healthcare career in less than a year.

Medical Front Office and Billing Career Outcomes

Students who graduate from the program and earn their diplomas will enter the workforce equipped with the knowledge, skills, and on-the-job training that employers are looking for when seeking to hire individuals for entry-level medical front office and billing positions.

In a medical front office and billing position, you will primarily work with patients, greeting them as they come into the clinic, checking them in for their appointment, and billing them for the services they will receive at your clinic.

Some of the positions that this program will prepare you for include:

  • Patient Coordinator
  • Physician Office Specialist
  • Medical Office Specialist
  • Billing Coordinator
  • Admissions Coordinator

About This Program

FCC’s Medical Front Office and Billing  Training Program provides students with a  foundation on which to begin a new, administratively driven career in the medical field. As our experienced FCC instructors help you learn to become vital members of healthcare administrative teams, they will teach you how to contribute to a variety of processes necessary in order to properly operate a healthcare facility.

It’s our goal that those who have graduated from the program will be equipped to work both in small clinics and large hospitals. Additionally, graduates will acquire a working knowledge of billing systems, governmental regulations, and third-party payer requirements.

The program concludes with each student completing a real-world externship module, which is meant to provide them with on-the-job training at approved extern employment sites. The on-the-job training required by the program is intended to prepare students for the challenges they may typically encounter on the job, allowing them to hit the ground running upon completion of the program more easily.
