About the Program

The Pharmacy Technician certification program can take up to 11 months to complete. In addition to gaining a solid foundation of knowledge about pharmacy terminology and fundamentals, you’ll get hands-on practice across a variety of pharmacy types, including retail, compounding, hospital, mail-order, and long-term care. You’ll also learn state and federal law, ethics, and professionalism. At the end of your program, you will also receive on-the-job training during an externship with a local employment partner.
